Ecological Trace of Marble

Ece Marble will organize the first competition in 2024 for students of fine arts and design faculties, architecture faculties, architecture, interior architecture, landscape architecture, industrial design, sculpture departments, aiming to make marble better known as a material by conveying the production, processing and application processes of marble. The theme of the competition is Ecological Trace of Marble Marble is a natural material widely used in architectural structures of different scales. However, the sustainable production of marble is of great importance. Sustainable marble production should include a process designed to minimize environmental impacts and conserve natural resources. This process ranges from quarrying, cutting and processing of the marble. Factors such as energy efficiency, water management, waste reduction and recycling should be considered for sustainable marble production. Sustainable marble production represents both an environmentally and socially responsible approach and plays a vital role in passing on natural resources to future generations. The “Ecological Trace of Marble” competition is organized to inform and raise awareness of students studying in the design discipline about the production processes of marble and to draw attention to the sustainable aspect of the material.
